These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of the Assessment Scaffold Builder at voced1.com (the “Service”), operated by the operator of voced1.com. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're a student under 18, a parent, guardian, or your school should have already reviewed and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy on your behalf as part of the school's own enrolment and technology-use processes.
What the Service is
The Service lets teachers build structured assessment scaffolds and assign them to a class; students work through them with autosave, and export a final document. It is intended for use within a school or educational setting, at a teacher's direction.
Accounts
- You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity on your account.
- Teacher accounts are self-service sign-up. Student accounts can only be created via a class join code a teacher shares — there is no public student sign-up.
- Tell us promptly at security@voced1.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything other than its intended educational purpose
- Attempt to access another user's account, class, or data
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the Service's security controls (including the paste-disable feature on response fields, which is intended as a deterrent to discourage copy-pasted answers, not a security boundary)
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have the right to share
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, and you'll be notified before or at the time we do so where practical.
Content and ownership
You (or, for a student's work, the student) retain ownership of content created in the Service — assessments a teacher writes, and responses a student writes or uploads. We don't claim ownership of it and don't use it for any purpose beyond providing the Service to you (see our Privacy Policy). You're responsible for having the right to upload any content (including images) you put into the Service.
Availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We'll try to give notice of planned maintenance where practical, but the Service is provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator of voced1.com is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change to these Terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where practical, notify account holders. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the operator is registered (to be confirmed and added here — see lib/legal/contacts.ts).
